Who We Are
Price Modern has celebrated its 100th year in business, a milestone that many firms have yet to achieve. Founded in 1904 as a stationer and a printer, we have evolved into one of the largest dealers for Haworth, the world’s largest privately held manufacturer of interior furnishings, walls and floors. Our headquarters remain in Baltimore, Maryland and we provide services throughout the Mid-Atlantic region with additional offices in Washington, DC and Raleigh, NC.
Although the business has changed over the years, the ownership has not, and Price Modern has remained a family-owned business for decades. Our owners, Milford Marchant and Robert Carpenter, feel strongly that their job is to support the employees with state-of-the-art resources, an enjoyable working environment, and fair compensation. In doing so, we know that our customers will see motivated people and productive solutions. We believe our continued investment in our employees has been a key factor to our success, and has allowed us to remain financially sound even during uncertain economic climates. This, in turn, has allowed us to seek out new avenues of opportunity and growth.
